Turnaround time depends on our workload as well as the quality of the document. Please let us know the date on which you need the marked-up document to be returned. Whether you work to tight deadlines or have left things to the last minute, we will do our best to meet your deadline, even if it involves working long hours, but we need to be fair to all our clients. Obviously, the more time we have, the easier it is to schedule the work.

Typically, allow us one day per 30 pages or 7 000 words. If you can give us advanced notice of when we will receive the document, as well as its approximate length (number of pages or number of words), it will be appreciated. If that’s not possible, just send the document, tell us when you need it returned, and we’ll do our best. We will confirm a delivery date and time when we receive the document.

The text is marked up so that you have a choice as to whether you accept or reject the changes that we recommend. The marking up is colour coded for easy identification. Problems with spacing or punctuation where no choice is involved are corrected without highlighting to save you some effort. Apart from grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, language use, and sentence structure, we check for consistency of these items throughout the document. The choice of formatting for headings, body text, etc. is up to you, but we will nonetheless check their consistency throughout the document.
